ABOUT SOUNDS GOOD!
Listening is where every journey begins.
Sounds Good! was created from a simple idea: listening carefully can transform the way we understand and connect with the natural world.
What began through years of scientific research in marine environments gradually evolved into a broader initiative that brings together science, education and art to inspire curiosity, encourage dialogue and celebrate the many voices of our planet.
Today, Sounds Good! is an invitation to explore nature through listening — across oceans, coasts, polar regions and every landscape that has a story to tell.
WHAT GUIDES US
Our Philosophy
We believe that...
listening comes before understanding;
curiosity inspires discovery;
science becomes stronger when shared;
education creates lasting connections;
art helps us experience nature in new ways.
Together, these principles shape everything we do.
Our MISSION
To connect people with nature through listening, integrating science, education and artistic expression to inspire knowledge, curiosity and conservation.
Our vision
To become an international platform where listening fosters collaboration across disciplines, cultures and generations, revealing new ways of understanding the living world.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Marine biologist, professor at the University of São Paulo and founder of Sounds Good!, Marcos has spent more than three decades studying marine mammals and nearly a decade conducting research in Antarctic and sub-Antarctic environments.
Throughout these years, one idea became increasingly clear: listening is not only a scientific tool, but also a powerful way of building connections between people and nature.
Sounds Good! emerged from this conviction, bringing together scientific research, education and artistic inspiration into a single initiative dedicated to exploring and sharing the voices of our planet.
